Bradfield City now has more than 18 km of pit and pipe infrastructure in the ground and ready for Superloop to begin the next stage of delivering fibre connectivity for Bradfield City’s future residents and businesses.

As Australia’s first new city in 100 years, Bradfield City is being designed from the ground up to support the way people will live, work, learn and connect in Western Sydney. Superloop is proud to be partnering with Bradfield City as the digital infrastructure provider helping bring that vision to life.

This week marked an important delivery milestone for Superloop and Bradfield City, as the project moves another step closer to creating a highly connected precinct for future residents, businesses, students and visitors.

“We’re excited to reach this milestone, with the core pathways now in place to support Bradfield City’s future fibre network,” said Jason Ashton, Group Executive of Corporate Development and Smart Communities at Superloop. “This phase creates the pathways needed to install Superloop’s fibre network and marks another important step of the project.”

Once installed, Superloop’s fibre network will deliver fibre-to-the-premises connectivity, public Wi-Fi and smart city services enabled by multi-function pole infrastructure developed in partnership with OneWiFi.

In a city being built from scratch, the foundational work we do now matters for decades to come.

“Unlike established suburbs, where fibre often needs to be retrofitted around existing roads, buildings and services, Bradfield City’s planning gives Superloop the opportunity to coordinate digital infrastructure alongside the city’s other essential foundations from the outset.”

Bradfield City is one of Australia’s most ambitious urban development projects, and Superloop is proud to be helping deliver the digital foundations that will support the city for decades to come.
