Operations Team Brings Helping Hands to Life

Superloop’s Operations team recently rolled up their sleeves for a Helping Hands workshop, building functional prosthetic hands for landmine survivors and amputees around the world.

To better understand the challenges amputees face day to day, our team were asked to use only one hand during the build — a simple but powerful way to experience some of the everyday obstacles recipients live with.

The workshop was a true team effort, calling for clear communication, flexibility and trust, proving that Superloopers win together when working towards the same goal.

By stepping into the shoes of the people they were supporting, the team were reminded of the importance of listening first and doing what matters — keeping people and real outcomes at the centre of everything they do. Building something that restores independence and opportunity reinforced that real impact comes from empowering others to unleash possibilities.

Paul Smith, Chief Operating Officer, said the experience highlighted the strength of the Operations team beyond their day-to-day roles.

Our Operations team focuses every day on delivering reliable, high performance outcomes for Superloop customers. Helping Hands challenged us to bring that same mindset and teamwork into a completely different environment. Knowing that the hands we built will directly improve someone’s quality of life made the experience both humbling and incredibly motivating.

The Helping Hands initiative is part of Superloop’s broader commitment to doing business responsibly and unleashing possibilities for the communities we serve.
